The sound of the shofar once again beckons, calling all Jews to come in unison before the Almighty and pray to be inscribed in the Book of Life for a prosperous New Year. This year, Rosh Hashanah begins on Monday evening, September 6, and concludes Wednesday evening, September 8. For well over 100 years, the Cruger Avenue Synagogue has been home to Jews of all affiliations, who choose to worship on the High Holy Days in our shul, hoping to win favor in the eyes of G-d, uplifted in the merit of all the righteous individuals who sat in these very seats before them! What makes services at our synagogue even more special is that–unlike most shuls on the High Holy Days–there is no admission to worship here. All services are FREE of charge! We’re also continuing a popular tradition started a few years earlier. We offer FREE COMMUNITY DINNERS both nights of Rosh Hashanah! (You must RSVP to our email at synagoguecruger1@gmail.com for reservations.) Also, enjoy a kiddush lunch after morning services Tuesday and Wednesday. We look forward to seeing one and all!
